David's memories

Created by Mandy 3 years ago
I remember Mary principally for two things: her lovely welcomes as a hostess, including the occasion when she insisted that Jane and I had the master bedroom at Moorland Park and her ability tell a story about an incident in her busy life, be it a Rolls Royce trip of great glamour or the events following her abortive attempt to get her eyes sorted.
I remember a lovely trip to Ness gardens and a hot, restful stay with them after the stressful weekend of Michael's wedding. Gordon and Dorothy were there too. Most of all I remember the annual family get togethers, when Mary pulled out all the stops to keep us adults and ten children fed and entertained.
